Ms. Bennett is a knowledgeable and experienced leader in the business development and marketing sector with over twelve years of experience. As a diplomatic, proactive, motivated, and growth-oriented business development executive, she has a proven track record of success in sales and marketing.

With her hands-on approach to business development, strategy, and marketing, Laura has tremendously excelled - having executed profitable and effective marketing campaigns with multi-million-dollar results for companies and organizations served.

Laura is an avid volunteer and has served on Association Boards and Executive Committees in the DMV area; such as The Women in Homeland Security Board, The ACT IAC Executive Committee and the HIMSS National Capital Area Chapter (NCA).

Since 2010, Laura volunteered with the HIMSS NCA Chapter acting in a variety of volunteer leadership functions advocating for HIT. Laura previously served as the President for the 2017 to 2018 season and as the Vice President/President-Elect (2017-2018) and other executive volunteer functions since 2010.

Laura holds a B.A. in English Literature from Goucher College and has taken graduate level classes in information technology, project management, and entrepreneurship.

With over 10 years experience in speaking and moderating panels and person on podcasts and webinars, Laura has spoken in front of government officials that have led large agencies on health care and acquisition issues. She's also led panel discussions in person for health care IT organizations in the DC metro area in front of audiences of a 150+.
